Formed in 1994 the Farrington Golf Club Senior Section has gone from strength to strength, organising many midweek competitions, trips to local and foreign courses as well as playing friendly matches against other local clubs and other sections in the club.
This latter has enabled us to forge close ties with seniors from these clubs and accounts for the success of The Farrington Golf & Country Club Senior Open held in September each year.
The strength of the Seniors Section is its weekly Wednesday Competition. Advanced entry enables a random draw for partners and provides a comprehensive program of qualifying events and team events. Such is the success of this format, allowing newcomers to rapidly integrate into the senior section, that we can have over 70 seniors competing every Wednesday.
Whilst offering opportunities for competitive golf, the raison d'etre of the section is to promote fellowship and friendship.
